Indigenous style is suddenly chic in Tulum, Mexico

The indigenous Mayan people of southern Mexico have always been known for their skills and craftsmanship.

Now, Ariane Dutzi, a Tulum transplant, is making a splash in the world of Mexican fashion, turning this indigenous handiwork into high end fashion. She has created Dutzi Designs, her own fashion line based in Tulum. This former New York and Paris fashion editor is part of the crew of young, high-flying fashionistas turning Tulum into the new mecca for veterans of the fashion industry.
